Technology for environmental data and asset compliance

Edac Compliance is an Irish environmental compliance company led by CEO Garreth Tackney. Garreth has previously worked as Operations Manager for McBreen Environmental and Zutec.

Based on their service experience the founders have identified a client need for a digital platform to store manage and collaborate with other suppliers on the environmental compliance data and assets.

Edac’s mission is to have a positive impact on how clients manage their environmental compliance. Their main goal is to ensure improved quality in environmental asset management by providing their customers with a modern and easy-to-use SaaS environmental compliance platform.

Zoosh set up a product development team consisting of product owner, service designer, ux designer cloud architect, lead developer and full stack developers to deliver the product.

We initiated an extensive research and design phase to define customer, sub-contractor and Edac persona goals, needs and necessary components of the future platform supporting those.

Based on the insights of iterations with of detailed visual design we have defined a product backlog and a product roadmap covering features to improve the offering for Edac clients.

Our agile development team has delivered the first two product releases on Microsoft Azure with an open architecture enabling integration to environmental IoT monitoring devices.

Edac was part of the co-creation, validation and testing through out of the project lifecycle providing valuable domain knowledge necessary to the success.

Clients using the platform are saving money not only by the fact that their high value assets are proactively managed to remain compliant, but also by being able to manage and evaluate their services providers of asset management, repair and maintenance in an efficient way. Keeping the knowledge and practices within the company by providing a structured, up to date asset management in place has strategic advantage.

Environmental service providers are also able to join the platform and manage their work orders and data sharing in a single digital space with their customers. The digital workflows and documentation are increasing efficiency, speed, transparency, quality and trust.

Having Edac implemented and utilized on daily basis on our facility has reduced the amount of time we historically spent on collating all our regulatory documents and reports. Everything is in now one place, this has contributed to in keeping compliant.
